My
one reoccurring thought was: "Man thank GOD we are so much more advanced
and we don't have savagery like this occurring anymore. We are in the
20th and 21th century, and at least we are FAR above all that, for good"... At least I
thought we were. Inhuman violence has always been a part of our lives, even in the modern age. But I noticed at around the time of 2008, the US economy
collapsed and with that, other countries would follow in a domino
effect. When people have no job, no money, no home, no hope... They
become angry. I saw that ever since then, humanity has been reverting to
its more primal savage past, the age of logic and peace is dying at a accelerating rate. Everyday I see things on the news and on articles, of
horribly ungodly acts of evil done by savages to innocents. The worst
acts like mass murder, rape, genocide, enslavement, beheadings, setting people on fire,
violently crushing protests, and many other foul acts.
When
people are living a satisfying life, compassion and empathy are easy to
practice. But when people are living a life of conflict, compassion and
empathy seize to exist. For all our advancements, all our
accomplishments, all the wonders we have created.. In a few short years,
humanity had reverted to the savage past, and in a lot of ways even
WORSE.. With our guns, bombs, and fast transportation, committing acts of
unparalleled evil has NEVER BEEN EASIER. It doesn't have to be this
way, we cannot abandon our mission for a world based on logic and peace.
They say those who do not learn from the past, are destined to repeat it,
we did not learn one bit and are currently repeating it. But we can change
that, by educating others, showing others compassion, abandoning our
anger, and stopping those that would commit this evil, minor and major. There is hope, and
it begins with you and I. Let us end this degradation of humanity, and
let us finally move forward once again.
