We as humans face many
trials and tribulations in our lives. From the moment we are born to
the moment we die, there is always an obstacle we must over come. For
all of humanities existence, we have been struggling against all the
hurdles this world has to offer. Our struggle in a way, defines who
we are to others and ourselves. This eternal conflict that is our
curse as humans, is anything but the same for all of us. Once upon a
time, most struggles were for more basic necessities such as food,
water, land and just trying to survive in this harsh primal world.
But as time went on, we changed allot and our mindset with us.
In the modern day, our
challenges are quite different from those of old times. We no longer
so much struggle to survive in this world, but we struggle to fit
into this world and it's constantly changing society. Our problems
are more mental then they are physically, we have and always will have
the challenge of connecting and interacting with other people. But
there is one unconscious obstacle that only now are we realizing that
is there, and one argue that it is universally the most difficult
challenge in our lives. The struggle to conquer one's self. It takes
a very aware and self reflecting person to realize this. It is very
hard to believe that for all the hard ships we go through in life,
truly connecting to yourself has to be the hardest of them all. What
you have to conquer, is all up to you. Ironically, you make the
challenges for yourself. Of course, they are unconscious and not
intentional. But they are there and some have it much worse then
others.
As strange as it is, you almost have to look at yourself as a different person. When you look into the mirror every morning, one can say that you are not just seeing your reflection, but a different reality in which your inner self resides. In other words, you aren't really looking at yourself but the self that is yours to mold and who looks to you to do just that. Find yourself, look behind the veil of life and know that the one who deserves the majority of your time and effort, is right there in the mirror. That person will be your life's greatest challenge, but you will never have a goal more important in your life. You are the conflict, the fix, and the reward. Now its up to you to decide, if you are so worth it. Ask yourself, are you?
