I think about my past memories, they seemed more like other lives I lived. Each one, like their own universe.
We are so arrogant to think we know ourselves perfectly, when we really know nothing.
I should know, I used to think that. Until the universe decided to show me who I really was..
Who I was really meant to be.
There is another you, sleeping in a hardened shell of your own mind.
There they slumber, waiting to be..
Awakened.
For me... When the shell within cracked, a revolution began. I saw what I was up against.
I surrendered.
Best decision I ever made. No longer would I keep myself from my true potential.
Blinded from the wonders of the universe, I was no longer.
So now I stand, seeing a world through eyes I never knew existed.
We can never truly know ourselves completely, but I do know the one question we all must ask ourselves.
What keeps us going?
We all have the answer consciously or unconsciously, but never had the question.
Ask yourself, and find out who you really are.
I have my answer.
I know what keeps me going, why I can never give up. Why only deaths sweet embrace, is the only thing that can stop me.
What keeps me going, is this one singular thought I have. A thought that serves as the fuel that powers my very will to live.
That for no matter what I go through, no matter how much pain and suffering I endure.
That one day, today or tomorrow, in this life or the next. In an eternity or forever..
That in the END.
I will be paid back infinitely more than what I have endured.
And that, is a gift worth living for.
