38. What Could Have Been

The night sky lays in front of me.

I look out into the stars..

And I see her.

I see her in the mountains.

I see her in the clouds.

I see her in my dreams.

I see her everywhere...

But in my arms. 

There was once a time.. When she was right there.

Right in front of me. 

If only I was brave enough.

If only she knew..

The pain in my heart.

The pain of not having her.

But maybe.. 

That’s how it was meant to be.

Thats how it could only be..

You see..

For when you breathed your last breath. 

When your soul left your earthly vessel.

I thought for a moment... 

About joining you. 

But no, it is not my time..

Thats not how you would have wanted it.

So I did the next best thing.

I invited you again into my heart..

And there you have stayed.

Maybe... I had you all along.

You and my memories of you.. Are with me always. 

Your soul is Eternal.

Just as my love for you is Eternal.

Join me..
